Olivier Gamache has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Responsible Investment Group Inc. since March 2007. Under his leadership, GIR has earned an international reputation and is now recognized as the only non-affiliated and independent firm specialized in both proxy voting and ESG research in Canada. Mr Gamache holds a bachelor's degree in business administration (concentration in finance) from HEC Montréal. He previously worked as a portfolio manager and held various executive positions for a private investment company and a private foundation. He has also worked in universities and for the government. Mr Gamache has been active for over 9 years in the SRI industry.

Julie Payette has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer on January 1st, 2011. She began her impressive path at GIR as a technical assistant in September 2007. She has a double bachelor's degree, in communications and politics from the Université de Montréal, and a DEC in marketing techniques. She is responsible for client relations and managing the research team.

Mamadou Lamine Beye joined the team in October 2007 as an Environmental Analyst. He holds an undergraduate degree in the natural sciences from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal; a Master's degree in environmental studies from the University of Geneva, Switzerland; a Master's degree in urban studies (sustainable urban development, resource management and governance) from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and a graduate diploma (DESS) in sustainable management and development at HEC Montréal.

 

Pauline Lejay

 

Pauline Lejay, social-issues analyst. Pauline has a Master's degree in environmental and natural-resources economics from the Toulouse School of Economics and a D.E.S.S. in sustainable management and development from HEC Montréal. She joined the GIR team in January 2012.
