Olivier Gamache
Olivier Gamache has been the President and General Manager of Responsible Investment Group Inc. since March 2007. Under his leadership, GIR has earned an international reputation and is now recognized as the only non-affiliated and independent firm specialized in responsible investment services. Mr. Gamache holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (concentration in finance) from the reputed HEC Montréal school of business. He previously worked as a portfolio manager and held various executive positions for a private investment company and a private foundation. He has also worked in universities and for the government.
Réjean Dong Hai Nguyen
Réjean Dong Hai Nguyen is an Analyst specializing in matters relating to Governance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (concentration in finance) from the HEC. As well, Mr. Nguyen has a Master of Science in Administration – option in International Finance.
Marie-Pierre Chazel
Marie-Pierre Chazel joined the GIR team in July 2010 as a Social Analyst. She holds a B.A in international studies (political sciences concentration) from the Université de Montréal. Marie-Pierre has worked with the GIR in 2007, as research assistant. She also worked in international development with the Center for international studies and cooperation, in West Africa.
Mamadou Lamine Beye
Mamadou Lamine Beye joined the team in October 2007 as an Environmental Analyst. He holds an undergraduate degree in the natural sciences from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal; a Master's degree in environmental studies from the University of Geneva, Switzerland; and, a Master's degree in urban studies (sustainable urban development, resource management and governance) from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and also a graduate diploma (DESS) in sustainable management and development at HEC Montréal.
Marie-Pier Lamarre
Marie-Pier Lamarre joined the GIR team in September 2009, as the Proxy Voting Agent. She holds a B.A. in international studies (economy and administration concentration) from the Université de Montréal.
Julie Payette
Julie Payette is the General Coordinator at GIR since September 2007, where she began as a technical assistant. She has a double bachelor's degree, in communications and politics from the Université de Montréal, and a DEC in marketing techniques. She is responsible for client relations and product deliverables, and plays an active role in the team management.
Mario Lapointe
Mario Lapointe, business development agent, brings a rich and diverse background to the GIR team. He has worked as a trustee for both public and private investment funds, including retirement plans for the City of Montreal, and as the founding director of the Société de développement économique Ville-Marie. Over the course of his career, he has held several positions in Montreal’s Sports and Leisure Department, including customer service team leader and administrator of the Jardin botanique.
